Accord People is recruiting on behalf of a leading global subsea services provider for a visionary Group Marine Fleet Director to lead the strategic and operational management of a diverse fleet of DP vessels supporting offshore construction, diving, ROV, and inspection services worldwide.
Role Overview
This senior leadership role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective fleet operations while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and project requirements. The Director will oversee vessel performance, maintenance, compliance, budgeting, and personnel to align marine capabilities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global fleet operations and technical management
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standards (ISM, ISPS, MLC, OCIMF, IMCA)
- Manage maintenance programs, dry-dock planning, and vessel readiness
- Support project alignment and operational planning
- Drive performance monitoring, fuel efficiency, and sustainability initiatives
- Manage marine budgets, procurement, and cost controls
- Represent the fleet division in audits, client meetings, and industry forums
- Build and lead a high-performing team of marine and technical professionals
Ideal Candidate
- Master Mariner (Unlimited) or Chief Engineer license preferred
- 15+ years’ experience managing DP vessel operations
- Proven leadership of large, diverse marine assets
- Strong knowledge of subsea support operations and compliance frameworks
- Strategic, hands-on leader with excellent communication and stakeholder skills
- Willing to travel internationally as required
